Kathleen grew up in the Bay Area and Sonoma County. She spent much of her youth in the mountains of Cazadero and the sand dunes of Bodega Bay. She always knew that one day she would place those memories on canvas. As a self-taught artist, each day is a learning experience. Kathleen Peterson is a member of the Sun Gallery, the Hayward Area Forum of the Arts - Hayward Arts Council and the Adobe Art Center in Castro Valley, CA. All of Kathleen Peterson's life, she has dreamed of painting. As a mother of six, she obviously was quite busy. Now that most of her children are grown and have families of their own, her time has finally come.
